Shane!!! It’s honestly hard to believe that you’re old enough to need these. Getting to take your senior photos was so much fun!! Thank you so much for including me in this experience <3
Getting to celebrate your siblings accomplishments is one of the best feelings. And as an older sibling the amount of pride and joy you feel when your younger ones do something amazing is unmatched. That’s exactly how I felt getting to celebrate Shane this spring. It’s incredible to think that the cute little toddler who spent his days running around the house bothering his sisters is now a ~college~ student.
I am so proud of him and so excited to get to share these photos with y’all.
And Shane if you’re reading this, have the best time at college. Go Pokes!

Gemma – sweet, kindhearted, beautiful, smart, accomplished…
I am so excited to finally be getting these shoots up on the blog! Gemma’s senior sessions brought me so much joy! Both were filled with so much laughter and excitement as we chatted about her future plans and the memories we have had over the years.
For her photos, Gemma wanted a mix of seasons and locations so we decided on two shorter sessions were the way to go – a winter session around downtown Austin and a spring session at Mayfield Park. I’m so glad that her joyful and fun-loving nature shines through in these photos!

I love any excuse to take photos on a football field – it’s kinda my home base – and this was definitely a good one. For Austin’s second shoot, he wanted to get a few photos in the place he’s spent most of his time the last few years – Monroe Stadium. So we did just that! On a random Saturday Austin, his mom, and I all hopped the fence to get a few photos of him in his jersey and letterman.

If I’m being honest, which I normally am, last week was a complete disaster. We all knew Texas’ infrastructure wasn’t built to handle below freezing temperatures, and we definitely didn’t need proof. But we got proof whether we wanted it or not. And as expected the storm was extremely destructive. Apartments flooded, pipes broke, power was restricted. Families were with out water and food was scarce.
Yet in even with all the destruction and despair, we can’t ignore the moments of joy that came with it…. even if it was just for one day.
Below are few moments I captured last week. I hope they remind you that even in all the bad there’s still some good.

Austin! What a joy it was to be able to celebrate you!
Austin was my first class of 2021 senior and working with him and his family was so fun! They joked and laughed together throughout the shoot. And I loved how having his family around and talking to him instantly helped Austin feel more comfortable in front of the camera.
To work around his busy football schedule we decided to break his session into two mini sessions. The first was this one around downtown Austin 🙂 This session we decided to check South Congress’ Music Lane, as well as a few classic spots in the area. We ended our shoot with a small hike to the 360 Overlook.
The sun was a little brighter than I normally would like, but it gave a natural contrast that allowed these photos to really pop. I honestly love how these photos came out and can’t wait to see what our second shoot brings us.

Kianna!! Kianna!! Kianna!! What an absolute beauty- inside and out!
Kianna is stunning, stylish and so so sweet. Spending the afternoon with her exploring different locations around downtown Austin was such a joy. Each spot we found was simple yet unique, the perfect combination to allow Kianna’s beauty and personality to truly shine.
Working with Kianna was so fun! She did such a great job laughing off the natural awkwardness that comes from trying new poses, and just enjoying the experience. Her sweet fun-loving nature comes through in all her photographs. And honestly, I can’t believe we were able to pack so much into one session.

Smart, beautiful and photogenic. What more could a photographer ask for from their little sister? Nothing really.Â
Getting to take Sierra’s senior photos was such a special experience. It was so fun to be able to share what I love to do with her while getting to capture this moment in her life. AND everything about this day was on our side. The lighting? Perfect. The weather? Perfect. The locations? Perfect. And Sierra? Well gorgeous of course.Â
As we bounced from location to location together, Sierra, my mom, and I smiled, laughed and made memories that were engrained into our minds with each photo taken. It was truly a one-of-a-kind experience.

Soo this trip didn’t really turn out as planned. When they sent us off to Vegas for the week no one would have guessed the world would shut down… especially not two days into the Tournament. But hey it makes for an interesting story I guess. Although I wish that I was shooting day two of the tournament instead of sitting at home writing this I’m still so grateful that I had the opportunity to be there at all. Getting to work the Pac-12 Tournament with two of my best friends was such an incredible experience. It brought me so much joy and happiness, even if it was just for the day. Plus, being there was the perfect reminder of the incredible community you are a part of when you work in sports.
